Olympics?
Written at Sunday, August 10, 2008 | back to top

Friendship Quote of The Day:
True friends share everything together.

Hi y'all. Yup, I found my book back! xD
Don't think I thought all those quotes myself, do you?

Have you guys watched the Olympics Opening Ceremony?
It's on 8pm, last friday, 8th August, 2008~!
I only watched the performance part.
The part where each country comes out and wave at you? Booooring~!
Here are some pictures I took from TV for those who missed it out!

But... Quite not clear. Maybe 'cos the pictures are zooming so fast.

This is where the 1st part of the performance.
A whole gang of guys, hitting some drums. But got light, which is totally cool.
I can't imagine myself hitting it. Surely the light will kill my eyes.
They actually make countdown with the light. So cool!
I wondered how long they practiced it.

After countdown, the fireworks are starting.
The thing is, not only the giant birdnest (the stadium) release fireworks,
almost the whole Beijing also did!
I'm not sure it started from where, but it keep showing fireworks from tall buildings.
Keep on booming, like a line, to the birdnest. Then, more fireworks.

This is the pic xD

After that, the birdnest release some again.

Then, some light show~ The 5 circles formed.

Actually, after that, they have some fairies dancing around the circles.
I didin't really take much pictures. Fed up holding my fone for so long...

After that, some girl start singing, if I'm not mistaken.
Very young I reckon. LoL.

Then some performance on a whole gang of guys again,
reading some crap I don't understand from the bamboo scroll.
Then, performance on dancing on a giant scroll.
While dancing, got some drawings~~ Formed a drawings of mountains & a sun.
You know, those kindergarten drawings. Ha ha...

Then a lot of blocks that written a chinese word on each,
start coming up & down. Very artistic LoL.
I'm not sure I got the agenda correctly. I think I jumbled up the whole thing.
My mum mentioned that China takes Olympics as an opportunity to promote themselves. Since so many foreigners come all the way to China to watch the Olympics...
After all those I didn't watch much, I only remembered some after that...

A lot of guys again, holding oars, you know, those you use to row a boat.
then their oars got paintings, which they combine to create lots of boats.
LoL. Oh ya, Did I mention 'bout the dancing opera puppets?
That is soooooo boring. I hate that part. Can't they use real opera?

Then I remembered a woman dancing on a moving mat,
below her got lots of guys carrying the mat.

I think that's all. Besides some guy playing a piano with a very young girl.
After that, I seriously didn't hang around in the living room to watch.
I quickly finish off my assignments ha ha...
I still got Statistics assignment to do... Shit.
