Manga week!
Written at Friday, August 31, 2012 | back to top

Hey guys!
Gosh, I wanted to do something so much.
I'm so bored to death at home without anything to do,
besides Facebook-ing and 9Gag-ing.

This week I've been crazy about manga!
For those people who are unsure what I'm talking about,
I'm not talking about a padlock, in Malay,
and I'm not talking about mango, in Malay.

But it was all about Japanese comics!
We don't call them comics simply because you will think that I was referring to English-type comics, like Marvel, or even childish children comics like Crayon Shin Chan.

Here, I present to you, the list of manga I read this week,
(using my mum's ipad, I was addicted to it! It can download tons of manga, but free account only limited to 10 chapters per time. It's called Manga Storm.)
Guys, you can look away, these manga are for girls hahaha~

Tsuki no Shippo (Tail of the Moon)

Zettai Kareshi (absolute boyfriend)

Hadashi de Bara wo Fume

Koukou Debut

BxB Brothers

Kanata Kara (From Far Away)

That looks a lot, huh?
I can tell you that both Tsuki no Shippo and  Hadashi de Bara wo Fume is drawn by the same mangaka, Ueda Rinko. I prefer Tsuki no Shippo, it made me cry like shit in 1 part.
Hadashi de Bara wo Fume is more to, a very very wicked villain.
And both of these manga is historical, though the latter happened around world war. I think.

I'm pretty sure Zettai Kareshi is quite well-known.
They even have drama for this manga!
I didn't watch the drama version though, I think that whatever anime or drama you watch,
the manga will always be the best plot. Anime and drama tend to cut scenes away.
This is drawn by the famous mangaka Watase Yuu who created both Fushigi Yuugi and Ayashi no Ceres! I love her drawing. Look at Night! He really is the absolute boyfriend every girl ever dreamt.

Koukou Debut is quite funny at first, but it kinda bores me when the plot lengthens.
The drawing is a little similar to Kimi ni Todoke, but it appears that the latter is not her work.
The plot is a little similar to Kimi ni Todoke too, but I don't really like those stories that lengthen on their love progress. It really is boring.

BxB Brothers has its own charm.
It's quite funny and nice, but the confession part is the one that bores me too.
Man, it takes forever for the guy to confess.
And he's so freaking dumb. Argh.
Anyhow I prefer this than Koukou Debut.

I saw someone recommend Kanata Kara when I searched around google for manga similar to Tsuki no Shippo.
I kinda love historical plots.
And this manga is by far the best I've ever read!
I really love this manga.
Though I didn't shed any tears where I'm supposed to.
God, this story portrays a more realistic story than Fushigi Yuugi.
How come it wasn't made to anime?

Okay, why would I say it was more realistic than Fushigi Yuugi?
It's the communication part.
Fushigi Yuugi (curious play) is about a normal school girl being absorbed into an old chinese story book right?
And she went into ancient China. Why would the people there speak Japanese?
Trolololol. Even their names are Japanese. Tamahome? Haha.
Kanata Kare has a similar beginning, but everyone in the fantasy world do not understand her.
And she was determined to learn their language so that she can communicate with the people in that world.
Noriko is so much stronger than Miaka, that's for sure =)

Oops, look at me, keep babbling non-stop.
I hope what I've written won't spoil anything =)

That's all for now, chiaoz people~

PS: Happy holiday guys! It's the independence day of Malaysia~

PSS: Gonna start reading Basara =)

Hey ya people~!
Been going out and about this week after my long CNY trip!

Last Friday:
I was so excited after that 4 long hours of Finance lecture,
'cos I went out with Yuen and KP to Amcorp Mall!
Well, you guessed it, I'm paying BookXcess a visit for the first time!

Why BookXcess of all the bookstores in Klang Valley, you ask?
They sell excess books at a lower price! Most books there cost between RM15-RM20.
YES. EVEN HARDCOVERS.
AND YES, THEY ACCEPT 1MALAYSIA BOOK VOUCHERS!
In conclusion, cheaper books means I can buy more books using those RM50 vouchers.

Here's what I bought~

Total of 6 books only RM100 used!
(And there's 2 hardcover books that cost RM100 each!)

For those who wanna go and have a look:

It's located at the 3rd floor of Amcorp Mall, around opposite of McDonalds.
At PJ.
For those people who do not have their own transport, fret not!
You can take Putra LRT to Taman Jaya, once you're at that station the Amcorp Mall is so near that if you can miss it you ARE BLIND.

Yesterday:
Both of them went to my house to play fireworks,
but disappointed that my fireworks are like, for kids. Not much excitement in them.
Haha. So we went out to watch a midnight show.
At viva home mall. And wow. This is the 1st time we went to a mall this late.
All the shops were closed.

We bought 3 12.30am tickets. And that time was around 11.30pm.
So we went to sit and chat and drink in OT at the ground floor of the mall.
And here's the drink I shared with Yuen:

Long Island Iced Tea.
Well, I didn't expect my first cocktail to have so much liquor...
One sip and the bitterness makes me wanna squeal.
Yuen wanted to try "sex at the beach" but I wanna try this
'Cos the main character of "Jinx" by Meg Cabot drank this. hahaha.
Lame reason.

Guess what we watched?

Some teenagers getting super powers XD
Well, it was cool that the movie showing us the footage of cameras.
Only cameras, except 1 part where they failed to do so =P
Means this movie is at the main character's camera's point of view. Haha.

Anyway, it's about teenagers explored something and got some cool powers.
But the poster above really, like, showing spoiler ad lolol.
Well, it's predictable that when they have overpowering abilities,
then something bad will happen.

It's cool, but the boy above is freaking me out...
You'll see...

This story... is okay. I guess.
Not bad lar.
Some teenagers messing around people with their powers until it gets serious.
hmm. I like the messing around part though, kinda stupid but funny XD

Alright, that's all for now.
Gonna suicide for finance now. Sigh.
Chiaoz people~

ZOMGWTFBBQ book fair...?
Written at Sunday, October 9, 2011 | back to top

Hey guys!
I've been accumulating pictures to update my blog, and you know.
I get this genes called "laziness" from my dad, so I didn't blog about them.

Well, except for this post.
Earlier today, I went out for a book fair!
Luckily my friend ask me out for that. I'm super grateful.
Here, I'll even name him.

THANK YOU KAHWAI!!!!!!!!!

Ahem, back to topic.
What book fair you ask?
This.

Yup. The Big Bad Wolf book fair.
It's actually a bookstore name. And they're having a sale.
It's like a warehouse sale. ALL BOOKS 95% discount!!!! XD

Man, I felt like I'm in heaven.
Even when before reaching the entrance, the smell of new books excites me!

Once I saw the book I wanted, I had difficulty breathing when I saw the price tag.
My friend was like, calm down. It won't disappear. It's real. Your eyes are not deceiving you.
Not literally, but... you get the picture.

Well, I didn't get to find the books I wanted, but I ended up buying books that I expected, and some I gave up searching years ago, which appeared before me.

This is the amount of books I had to carry after mere 15 minutes in the hall.

I had to use a cardboard box to carry them. Haha. I wished I brought along a trolley.
Lesson learnt: bring along your mum's shopping trolley for market use.
You'll never regret it...!

And after walking around the hall for 2 hours+, these were the books I bought.

The book tower!! I bet this will take me months to finish, if not years.
(except for the desserts book... haha)
Wanted to know the price? I'll give you a total.
RM62 for these 7 books. No kidding.
_________________________________________________________

Alright, after this book fair trip, we went for dinner.
And chosen this restaurant in Sungai Long.

It's a nice atmosphere. We sat at a short coffee table that made use of cushions as seats. And we had to take off our shoes to avoid dirtying the platform...
(The items they used are classy and nice, except for the plate though.
What a let down.)

We ordered some sushi as appetizers and don(s) as our main course.
And boy I loved the maki on the right:

Yummy! Prawn + eggs + warm fillings of the maki!
(The roll is Yuen's)
Sadly, I didn't take the picture of my Salmon Teriyaki Don.
I gulped if down after it arrives. Too hungry apparently =P

Lastly..................
We made a special. Haha.

Wasabi + soysauce + chili flakes...
Yuen joked to eat it like green tea ice-cream + red bean sauce.
Trolled!
(Take 1 small bite, a size of an ant, already killed me. My nostrils flared...)

Alright, that's all folks.
Chiaoz people~

PS: You guys still have time to pay this fair a visit!!!
You still have time! It's until next week, if not mistaken =)
So, GO!!!

Mission after exam #1
Written at Friday, September 16, 2011 | back to top

Hey guys! YAY
Finally I've finished reading this

To tell you the truth,
this book, quite okay lar... the story.
But for me I think it's abit negative lols.
Not bad, but I prefer her book "where rainbow ends" the best.

This book is just talking about some... book,
mysteriously, it shows her what happens tomorrow.
The title said so. Haha.

The whole story is talking about finding the truth about herself,
the heroine in this story.
If you must know, read on =)

Chiaoz~
(PS: Finally I can start reading Mini Shopaholic!)
