Holiday's over
Written at Monday, February 22, 2010 | back to top

Hey peeps!
Writing in college now.

I know, I shouldn't be loging into any account of mine using a public computer but there are nothing else to do. Simply because:

1) I thought of bringing my brother's PSP to college for my own leisure needs, but if he ever find out, I'll be bloody well busted.

2) I also thought of bringing my New Moon to read, but 1stly, it's so darn heavy and thick it just will burden my shoulder more. Or, 2ndly, kinda embarrassing to be reading the book after the movie is out. I don't know why I'm embarrassed. It's just weird.

By the way, the holidays a brill. For CNY week only, 'cos I'm so busy whole week that I'm sorry that I've cancelled the KL gathering I've organized.
Sunday: 1st day of CNY. No one will be free

Monday: My uncle came to visit and stayed a night in my house.

Tuesday: My uncle and his family leaves (4 girls, havoc in my room) my brother and mum went to Perak to visit my other relatives, leaving me to do house chores ('cos I can't stand the boredom by sitting in their house and do nothing but eat =.=") and my dad went to work. (merely 3 hours. He came back at 6pm.)

Wednesday: 1st day the immigration office is opened. my mum had me and my brother to wake up at 6am++ and went out at 7am. Reach there around 7.30am and had to queue a long queue to get a number. (two to be exact. My mum and me)

And it's almost our turn to hand in our forms, some technicians who are repairing the self check-in computer are asking us to renew our passport there, as a test.
When we came back after 2 hours (after eating) the person behind the counter for collection said that the machine is still cannot be operated and have our passports returned.

My mum was furious and actually, kinda scolded them that it's not our fault that we ever use the machine. So an officer have our renewal fast-forward. But still we ended up waiting for another 2 hours.

Then, straight away after making our passport we reach home and pack our stuff and my brother drove us to Johore (except my dad though, he exclaimed that the trip is way far for him) and my brother's gf followed as well.

The car trip to Johore took around 4 hours. I guessed. It's super boring inside the car doing nothing, but most of the time what I did are, messing with my brother's PSP, sing-along to the CD player songs, or just chat, or sleep.

We reached Johore and kinda get lost. 'Cos my aunt's house is very far from the highway, and there are no sign boards indicating her housing area. So we lost another few more hours and kinda in an Amazing Race mode where we have to find a place we never went before and had to ask around.

Of course we reached, without any aid from my cousin. My uncle (who stayed with us on Monday) came a second earlier than us, just 'cos my cousin guided his family.
It's kinda boring there too. Especially the TV, where it broadcasts all Singapore channels. (mediacorp) And boy, am I blur when my cousin sister talked to me in Mandarin and I just laughed when she did and the heck I know anything she said.

So we slept at around 12am, after watching James Bond on TV2 (luckily they had some Malaysian channel standby) while my brother continued playing mahjong with my aunt and her daughter (our married cousin, pragnant) until 1am+.

Thursday: We woke up at 8am+, covering in sweat. I guessed only my bro and I and his gf. 'Cos thanks to my aunt from Singapore that she turned off the air-con when the room is merely a little cold. I was sleeping with blanket = sweatssssssss. Then, we get bites from mosquitos. And my aunt actually said that her house doesn't welcome any. LoL.

We're in the car at 9am, going to Singapore after eating breakfast at Old Town White Coffee (Toast and eggs set). We passed the kastam, and drove through the Selat Tebrau (forgotten what it was called in English, I learned it in Malay anyway). Upon reaching Singapore, it's kinda weird to see all the sign boards are in English.

And we're lost. My aunt doesn't even know the route to her house in Woodlands. (simply because she never drive, including her husband, since to have a car in Singapore means that you're freaking rich)

So we wasted another hour there by driving around. (and U-turned uncountable times) We reached her house (cozy apartment, which is as quiet as a Hospital) and was greeted by my uncle. He's a super quiet person and doesn't talk much, mostly mandarin and English. Her boys went to school so they are not around.

We started sight seeing and left her house around 12pm++, after leaving our luggages. 1stly, we went to Sentosa Island, where my brother viewed map using the internet and having long discussions with my uncle.

We didn't end up getting lost, but reached there quick instantly. That place is super. Beach station there's nothing much to see except if we brought our swim suits, but we would never swim in that place. Only a caucasian is wearing a bikini.

Then, Imbiah Station is where the camera clicks the most. There are 12 statues of the zodiac, including this year's condition for each. Then some fountains, waterfall. We didin't enter the museum. Or ride in the Tiger tower, simply because it's too expensive. We ate lunch at Subway.

Waterfront station, the place where the Universal Studio, some hotels, shopping place and the CASINO are held. Universal Studio is yet to complete, so it's so sad we are unable to enter, but we did took some pictures with the spinning globe. Those hotels and such. The shops are all consists of expensive stuff. So we wouldn't enter. The casino? I can't enter. Neither my brother can. Simply because I'm underaged, and my brother is wearing shorts and slippers.

Last station is the Sentosa station, at ViVocity (there is a train in the island, and this 4th and last station is situated outside of the island for the people to ride them by interchanging with the MRT). ViVoCity is another shopping mall, but we did not walk around there, but into the MRT station, heading for Orchard.

At Orchard, my feet are starting to kill me. Simply because I wore some strapy flats (totally not the correct shoes if I'm walking too much). And had some stops to wrap plasters on my toes.
We did not go into any shopping mall (Orchard got countless of them) and we only managed to walk around the walkway, when it started raining. Not heavy, just some light rain. So we went back to the shopping mall with the MRT station, we ride to City Hall next.

Mentioning MRT, it's super fast. WAYYYYY faster than any trains in KL. I wished they had a display of the speed of the train. I can take a picture of that and show it off. Ha ha.
And then, there are not ticketing booth available. Only machines.
The bad thing is, the tickets, we had to return them to get a refund of S$1. So frustrating when it's super slow, and the queue is so long, and we had to put the 4 tickets 1 by 1, not to mention to buy the tickets too. Poor old man is waiting behind us.

City hall, another big big shopping mall. We walked alot, my brother became a tour guide. I don't know how he can be so familiar around that area, just 'cos he went to Singapore once for his work interview. We walked alot there. My feet were so numb and hurt I just got used to the pain.

We eventually reach the place where the beautiful fountain were. I don't know how, and I've forgotten the name of the place. At night, it will be stunningly beautiful. But we reached there in the evening, so the fountain had no water. just a hole.

So my brother guided us into the bottom of that hole, and it's a fountain of wealth situated in the middle. We did as what the signboard told us to do (Bring out your hand, touching the water, and walk around the fountain 3 times). My brother is so busy with the camera when we splashed our hands with the icy, cold water.

And then we walked to Esplanade, some opera house and that time, I'm breathing through my mouth like a dog. Not only my feet still hurts (Obviously) and my throat is so dry. I almost wanna take picture posing that way.

After that, we took a break. And opposite us, across the bridge, is the Merlion, pouring water into the sea. With tonnes of tiny human beings posing and taking pictures, and sight-seeing. We walked across in a super slow-mo mode, and had some sea water on us when we walked behind the Merlion.

After that, we walked to Raffles place. YES, IT'S NOT OVER!!!
Some old hotel which is renamed from Raffles hotel. Alot of Bridge and we saw not one, but two statues of Stamford Raffles. 1 in black and 1 in white. We took our picture with the black one.
Then, WE CONTINUED WALKING TO CLARKE QUAY!!!

I felt dreadful that time. I can barely walk anymore, that I asked them not to continue crossing the bridge to the other side, opposity Ion City where the big board with the words CQ Clarke Quay, are written on it.

So we took back MRT to ViVoCity, and had our overpriced dinner in the food court. (Sorry to say the food is not as nice as M'sia's), (and the Soy Bean Drink in Orchard shopping mall food court is tasteless). It's overpriced thanks to the exchange rate. Now S$1 = RM2.40, right?

And then, we reached Beach Station to retrieve our car after interchanging. We eventually enjoying a perfect view of the Song of the Sea at the station. Without paying for it.
Exploding with fireworks and some cool lights and effects. Too bad I didn't video record them.

We reached my aunt's house around 9pm++ while I rested my legs in the car during the trip. I walked to slow to reach my aunt's house at the 12th floor. My family had to wait for me when I struggled to the elevator.

Slept at 12am. Had my face covered with mosquito bites. Hate them biting my face. I looked horrible. Sob.

Friday: Say bye bye to my aunt's family, and reach Johore around 9am++. Ate breakfast there, (my mum doesn't want to spend another dollar in Singapore) and we went back my aunt's house in Skudai. Just to talk about our trip in Singapore and had to return the S$400 my pregnant cousin gave us. We spend S$150 from it and my mum return them using hers.

We reached KL around 2pm. My house around 2.30pm+. It's so tiring. And that day is my dad's birthday. We're ready and dressed to celebrate while waiting for his return. But he called and informed my mum that he's in Genting with his friends. So much for celebrating. My mum is furious and cooked our dinner instead.

Saturday: had my cousin visit us at 10am++. We haven't ate our breakfast that time so I was so hungry I had to hide in the kitchen with a ham sandwich. And ate lunch at 1pm, he was so eager to treat us. And my parents refused. Kinda the situation you guys meet alot, right?

After he and his gf left, there's particularly nothing much to do. WIth my family continued to play mahjong and me with my PC, staring at the monitor and doesn't know what to do.

Sunday: Nothing much. Ate breakfast at 10am+. 'Cos I woke us at 10am as usual, since I slept at 2am last night. Then, went to my another aunt's house (this time is my dad's side) and reached there around 12pm+. They chatted and I stare at the black TV screen until 3pm+. It's so bored, with them talking about childhood and everything. And my dad exclaimed that if no childhood memories talk, there're nothing much to talk about.

I had to let go of the replay of Dream Team Season 2 at 4pm when we reached Balakong Jusco at the exact time of my show. I wanted to watch it so much since I missed it last Wednesday at 6pm+... Yesterday was a heart breaker.

I got into such a gloomy mood when my family wasted my time sitting in my aunt's house, had me missing my show, and I had honey dew drink spilled on my jeans (I was so pissed when they decided to eat in a Food Court instead of other nice restaurant in the shopping mall).

Reahed home, with nothing to do. Just play with dogs, do some house chores and managed to play a few rounds of Mahjong. Then, the mahjong table is dominated by my parents and my brother and my dad compensate that by having my brother ordering Dominos using my Buy 1 Free 1 Voucher.

But the delivery is late, and the Pizza are cold. Not that nice. Even computer I got nothing else to surf. Kinda sick of the Facebook games I guess.

Then, it's today. my last semester starts. Gonna graduate on May. I don't feel the least bit excited. Only looking forward to the break on Wed to Sun. 'Cos I only have classes on Mon and Tue. Yeah~~~~

And My class starts at 10.30am. So nice that I used up an hour for this.

Okay then, that's all I can type. Chiaoz people!

PS: The photos we took is still inside my brother's pendrive where he use for his CD player in his car. I don't know when he will upload it into the pc so if you guys wanna take a look, I can upload them in Facebook.
